Rise Ini Kalilah, Movie Inspired by GE14 out Tomorrow!
Updated: Sep 13, 2018
In case any of you have forgotten, a film for Malaysians who helped make a difference in Malaysia will be released tomorrow, in conjunction with Malaysia Day!
How amazing is that?!
Inspired by the historic events of the 14th General Election (aka GE14), "Rise: Ini Kalilah" features a star-studded cast that includes and isn't limited to Jack Tan, Mira Filzah, Remy Ishak and Sageeta Krishnasamy.
The film follows the lives of different Malaysians leading up to the historic election on May 9. Memorable pieces of what had happened leading up to and during the GE14 will be brought to the big screen, such as the heartwarming postal votes by overseas Malaysians and the more controversial politically-motivated crime charges.
Production for "Rise: Ini Kalilah" was completed in three months, and was shot in three countries; Malaysia (of course), Singapore and Britain.
“This is by far the most challenging project I have ever been involved in but also the most satisfying to see an all-Malaysian team working hand-in-hand together,” Saw, one of the directors, said in a press statement.
With the events of GE14 still burning strongly in our minds, this is surely a movie that Malaysians cannot afford to miss.
Are you excited for "Rise: Ini Kalilah"? Because we sure are!
