Editor's Note: Girls, Girls, Girls
This note is brought to you by your Editor-in-chief, Emily Goh Yi En
It’s the start of the month and we are here to present you with yet another serving of Crunchy
and tasty content!
I am super excited about this issue, because we get to talk about one of my favourite topics,
which is celebrating Girl Power in our industry. Since the 8th of March is International Women’s Day, our team thought it would be perfect to give our take on amazing women who are out there kicking ass everyday.
Since I was young, I’ve watched my mother plunge into her career in education with so
much passion, and does all she can to make a difference in her students’ lives. When she comes home from work, she plays the role of “wife” and “mum” with chores and by giving her family good food on the table each day, together with an abundant serving of love and care.
Watching her as I grew up made me vowed to be a strong woman like her one day, where I can achieve fulfillment in both professional and personal aspects of my life.
Hence, it has been such a blessing to enter the social media industry. I’ve gotten to know so
many outstanding, inspirational women who work hard and make a difference in whatever they do.
I have come to learn that fancy speeches andbig events aren’t the only ways to celebrate
womanhood and feminism. The easiest way you could do it is by working really hard and being awesome at what you do. Just like how my mum has been a role model to me, I urge all girls (and boys!) out there to keep doing what you are doing, and strive to be the best at it.
You never know, you might just inspire someone else to do the same.
Read on as we talk about Girl Power, and even share some interesting facts about gender difference in social media. We hope you enjoy this issue of Crunch!
