9 Essentials That You Shouldn't Forget to Pack for Your Holiday
It's holiday season, and there's nothing we'd love more than to shed every care in the world and to have fun! Hold up there, though. Now before you go running off on your next vacation, you'd best make sure that you have all of these on the list below in your suitcase.
Because just missing one of them can put a huge damper on your holiday mood---maybe even ruin it. So read up!
The absolute essentials: These include your passport, driver's license, debit and credit cards, visas and some emergency cash. You don't want to lose the ability to move around and pay for things, after all.
Phone charger: These days, smartphones are pretty much an essential. We use them for just about everything; calling or texting someone, making reservations, hailing a ride, ordering food, etc... To be without a usable smartphone is almost equivalent to a lost limb, so be sure to bring along your phone charger!
Laptop charger: If you're planning to bring your laptop along with you (for work, as most would assume), then you'd best remember to bring your laptop charger along. Don't want to suffer the agony of losing your work halfway due to a dead battery.
Glasses and contact lenses: Things happen, and you don't want to be that one tourist squinting at everything just because you broke your glasses. To prevent this from happening, pack an extra pair of glasses. If you wear contact lenses, pack an extra pair of those. You'd thank yourself for it.
Itinerary confirmations: When something's not right with a reservation, you'll want to have your confirmation emails ready. For extra security, don't just rely on the Internet. Screenshot such emails to save on your phone, and make hard copies of them.
Hairbrush: You'd be surprised by how often people forget this travel essential. Unless you aren't fussed about your hair or don't mind using the combs that hotels tend to provide their guests with, this is something you wouldn't want to leave home without.
Sunglasses: Planning to head someplace hot and sunny? Then don't forget your sunglasses! You don't want to spend the majority of your time shielding your eyes or squinting. Sunlight can be pretty harsh.
Sunscreen: Sunscreen is something that everyone should have with them at all times, especially if they plan on heading to the beach. This particular item is important because it protects your skin from harsh UV light and skin cancer.
Adaptor: The simple reality is that different countries around the world use different sockets. It's annoying, but it is what it is. In order to avoid the unpleasant experience of realising that your charger can't fit your hotel room socket, invest in an adaptor. Stick it in your luggage whenever you're not travelling so you wouldn't forget to bring it along when you do go on holiday!
